In the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 25 we find a rather interesting passage. Jesus says, " 45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.' It's one of those, you need to care for people and treat others well. Essentially, take care of others. So if you don't take care of these, then you are not doing it for Christ. Our lives sometimes are wrapped up in the circumstances and drama of situations swirling around us. Our heads become dizzy and we run on overload, all the while longing for some sense of peace. I've been there, in the middle of the storm seeking some shelter. It's hard to hear God speak during those storms, well at least sometimes. The wind is loud and the storm continues until that one thought that creeps in to our mind comes. Maybe I should just give up and give into whatever storm has come upon me. Don't give up. God is our shelter and our refuge, He has the power to rebuke the storm. Even though others in this world who like to stir up trouble might be causing you great difficulty, continue to pursue the good. Choose the narrow gate. Choose to help those in need. Help the poor, the hungry, those who are in great need. And then you will hear- 40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Remember, the sun still shines during storms, we just can't see it. Go in peace and go with God.
